The newest smartphone all set to hit the markets of Japan is the recently unveiled NTT DoCoMo Sharp Aquos PhoneSH-01D. This handset is water resistant and powered by an OMAP4430 1.0GHz dual-core processor.

Weighing about 140g, the Aquos PhoneSH-01D comes dressed in shades of black, white and blue. It offers talk time and standby time of up to 290 minutes and 260 hours on the GSM network. This smartphone comes equipped with a 4.5-inch 720 × 1280p HD liquid crystal display that promises to deliver utmost vividness and clarity of pictures and videos.

With measurements that read 9.7mm x 65mm x 128mm, the handset is integrated with a 12MP rear facing camera featuring CMOS sensor. The touchscreen is incorporated with the parallax barrier system that is said to be responsible for providing a life-like 3D viewing experience without any special glasses.

The company states that the dual-core processor aids in speedier and better performance of various tasks such as application startups, quick multitasking, faster thumbnail pictures, recording of high quality full HD videos and ability to easily locate saved photos and video clips. The freshly unveiled smartphone lends support to the ‘Eco Tech’ software that, as the name suggests, helps in saving power. ‘Eco Tech’ comprises a set of control functionalities and helps in simpler operation of the LCD backlight power.

The NTT DoCoMo Sharp Aquos PhoneSH-01D is scheduled to be available from December 2 in Japan and details regarding its price or arrival in other countries have not yet been revealed.
