Here’s something to perk up. According to the Official Nokia Blog, both the Nokia X6 and Nokia 5230 have just got a new software update bringing a host of performance benefits and new features. In addition to the newly revealed free walk and drive navigation, the offerings pave the way with significant changes to the browser, social networking updates and a few new other nifty touches.
The new software updates ensure to deliver a range of enhancements including a leap to the latest version of the web browser, taking it to 7.2. Along with that comes the addition of LifeCasting with Ovi Maps. Social networking butterflies can now hit a LifeCasting update and share their current location with friends on Facebook.
Kinetic scrolling now makes its way deeper into the menu, too, with its arrival in grid view to make navigation easier and faster. The updates also come with the air software and app update polling. Other significant updates of note include Flash video Phase 3 and an updated version of Ovi Sync 2.0 and Ovi Music.
