Nokia unveils 2710 Navigation Edition handset

Nokia 2710 Handset Expanding its collection of GPS enabled handsets, Nokia recently rolled out the 2710 Navigation Edition handset. The handset comes loaded with an array of functionalities including Nokia Maps.

The Nokia 2710 is designed by understanding the needs of urban environments, small towns as well as rural areas. The Navigation Edition handset comes with an integrated digital compass. The GPS enabled mobile phone offers turn-by-turn driving navigation with full voice guidance.

With the Nokia 2710 both navigation and a comprehensive communication tool is offered in a sleek candy bar form factor. This affordable handset is equipped with Nokia Maps and the handset manufacturer promises to add new countries in the near future. Since the cost and availability of data connections are limited, relevant maps are embedded in the Nokia Navigation edition handset, enabling users to access the device even without an Internet connection.

The Nokia 2710 is expected to carry a price tag of EUR 110 and it is expected to hit stores by the second quarter of 2010.
