Nokia Siemens Networks to work with Telenor Sweden for 3G network upgrade

Nokia Siemens Networks And Telenor Logos Nokia Siemens Networks will provide Telenor Sweden with a complete 3G upgrade. With this pioneering agreement, Nokia Siemens Networks will expand its energy efficient Flexi Multi Radio Base Station to the entire network of Telenor. To enable Telenor to offer high speed mobile broadband services across Sweden, it will upgrade the core of network to boost both capacity and functionality.

Besides, Nokia Siemens Networks will also offer network management systems as well as project management, planning, implementation and optimization of services. With an objective to conveniently cater to the demand for statistical growth in bandwidth, it will offer Telenor Sweden with a full upgrade to its 3G radio network.

Nokia Siemens Networks claims that the award-winning Flexi Multi Radio Base Station technology will offer 21Mbit/s HSPA+ services throughout the network. It will also enhance the functionality and capabilities of the core network with IP-connectivity and deliver common register for GSM, 3G and LTE access.

With the turn-key agreement, Telenor Sweden will also receive project management, network implementation, planning and optimization along with software, hardware and competence development. With these services, Telenor Sweden is assured of the availability of high quality, high availability network, anywhere.
