Ovi Contacts 2.0

Making a lot of things easier for users worldwide, the Ovi Mail team has recently released Ovi Mail 2.0. With this new release, users’ Ovi Mail contacts and Ovi Contacts are merged into one contacts list.

Nokia users can now view, edit, delete or create their contacts from Ovi Contacts or Ovi Mail. Users can also sync their mobile device phonebook with Ovi Contacts and Ovi Mail. Other significant features have also been added to Ovi Mail with this release, including Arabic support.

Users can open an email from a friend in Ovi Mail on the web and send a reply back. The new 2.0 version shows a dialog box asking if users want to add the person to their address book. Users say yes and fill in the entries and click on ‘Add Contact’.

Within a few minutes, the new contact appears in Ovi Contacts on the web because Ovi Mail is now integrated with Ovi Contacts. Users can decide to sync their phone to get the newly added contact on the mobile device. One can either initiate sync from device or from Ovi Contacts on the web to sync all those contacts.

Further, after the sync comes to an end, users view the phonebook on the handset and the name of the friend and the newly added email address appear in the phonebook on the phone. Apart from this, the Arabic support included in Ovi Mail 2.0 is created to help users in Arabic-speaking countries to view their accounts in Arabic.

Nokia users can try this new Ovi Mail 2.0 on their mobile phone.
