The Nokia N8 handset has set the mobile terrain ablaze with various news tit-bits littering the past year. The device was announced back in April although eager-beavers could get their hands on the phone just a couple of months back. Now Unwired View reports that the company may have sold nearly 4 million models of the acclaimed N8.
This revelation was apparently revealed by a Finland-based research company. The figures stated that the number of devices clocked between 3.5 and 4 million. The popular N8 seems to have struck a chord with mobile enthusiasts residing in countries such as United Arab Emirates, India, Finland and Malaysia. The N8 flaunts a 12 megapixel camera complete with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash.
Although these numbers seem pretty impressive, it doesn’t even come close to the sales units of the iPhone which clocked at around 14 million in the third quarter of 2010.
