The Nokia Lumia 720 price has emerged, exhibiting a value of €249 barring taxes and the phone will be seen in a couple of countries starting next month. Rumors doing the rounds this year had indicated that the device was purportedly going to be exposed with three other phones at the MWC expo.
Lending impetus to the Lumia 720 would be a 1GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 chipset backed by 512MB of RAM. This Windows Phone 8 device sets aside 8GB of memory for users and allows expansion up to 64GB through the in-built microSD slot. The device is powered by a 2000mAh battery which can be wirelessly charged. It would bestow consumers with a 3G talktime of a little over 13 hours or a standby time of around 520 hours.
The smartphone will come in five colors, namely white, red, yellow, cyan and black. With its body measuring 127.9mm x 67.5mm x 9mm in dimensions, this device is as light as 128 grams and it accommodates a slot for a microSIM card. The 4.3-inch touchscreen is protected with a veneer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2 to resist scrapes and scratches.
The manufacturer claims that the f1.9 aperture of the main camera is the largest amongst most smartphones. The 6.7MP rear snapper also comes blessed with an array of features that would keep photography enthusiasts occupied. These would also include add-ons like Cinemagraph and Smart Shoot. The former allows users to incorporate animation into their pictures while the latter tool permits clicking of pictures in burst mode and erasing of unwanted objects in images. The 1.3MP front-facing lens can be used for conferencing on Skype.
Prospective users would be able to search for nearby events and even purchase their tickets through the Gig Finder tool. Music buffs can stream songs on their phones, free of cost, using Mix Radio. In a bid to keep up with recent norms, the maker has enabled consumers to attain connectivity through Wireless LAN, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and NFC.
The company reports that the Nokia Lumia 720 will be up for grabs in the first quarter in Hong Kong and Vietnam. The device will be headed to other Asian countries, Europe, Latin America and Africa in Q2.
