Nexus S in Russia to feature Super Clear LCD, will drop Super AMOLED display

Samsung Nexus S

It’s not been two days to the launch of Nexus S and we have got yet another juicy news coming our way. As reported by Unwired View, the Android 2.3-powered Nexus S smartphone was lately only unfurled for the UK and the U.S. markets. It will be unveiled in other countries early next year and the Russian version will very likely feature a Super Clear LCD instead of a Super AMOLED display.

Samsung has apparently designed its new Wave II S8530 with a Super Clear LCD screen and the same may be used for the Russian model of the Nexus S too. Ostensibly, Samsung Russia has revealed that this 4” mobile device will not sport a Super AMOLED.

The site also mentions that a recent comparison of both the display types has disclosed that the Super Clear LCD screen is excellent. Although, this LCD screen plausibly consumes more energy. This effectively makes the Super AMOLED display a more eco-friendly option.

Whether or not the Nexus S will flaunt a Super AMOLED screen, one thing which remains certain is that the Russian and other worldwide smartphone markets are anxiously awaiting the introduction of this handset.
