Well, yet another software update is just round the corner. Engadget reports that according to a tipster who also is a registered Palm developer, a new webOS update will be out soon.
Reportedly, developers have been alerted to be prepared to test their apps as soon as the upgrade is made available. Well, the update is reportedly expected in early May and the scope of the changes are said to be limited and Palm won’t go through a full SDK beta cycle.
Reportedly, developers are said to be given about a week to report show-stopper bugs before it is released to the carriers. Further, after its release for carriers, another 2-3 weeks will be given to address app-level bugs before it eventually reaches the consumer devices.
Testing for PDK apps is said to be essential and the developers of non-PDK apps can also test their apps for unforeseen issues.
