The key highlight of the device is its built-in light that makes reading at all hours pretty convenient and as it brings a high contrast display, you can expect it to look a lot like a physical book. Amazon’s Whispersync technology works on this eReader too, thus you can continue reading a certain book on all devices that have the Kindle application.

Its front side is graced by a 6-inch Carta e-paper touchscreen with a pixel density of 212ppi and it makes use of an optimized font technology. Although its total internal memory amounts to 2GB, you can save as many as 1100 books on it. And you get free cloud storage with every unit as well. Weighing around 215 grams, the Paperwhite manages to hide a power source that can keep it going for as many as 8 weeks.

You can now pre-order the new Kindle Paperwhite via the Amazon India website.
