Not so long ago, we reported about the Shopkick application making its way into iPhone devices. Now, a host of new features are added to enhance the shopping experience. This beta launch of the application adds some more companies which enables users to win extra kickbucks by just shopping and scanning the products.
Firstly users can check-in to stores like Best Buy, American Eagle, Sports Authority and certain Simon malls in the WIDER New York, San Francisco and LA regions. They can further collect exciting rewards like Facebook Credits, instant gift cards or certificates and more through these stores anytime and even donate those kickbucks to charitable organizations that supports around 30 causes. More cities and stores will be joining this application in the near future.
For those unaware, the Shopkick application offers bonuses and rewards to those consumers who merely checks into stores. With the built-in GPS or Wi-Fi capabilities, users can get gain all required information which is transmitted by digital signals on device’s mic. To ensure consumers presence an additional hardware is also placed inside the stores. By earning maximum kickbucks, users can redeem with digital music, in-store discounts and more.
The Shopkick application is available for free through iTunes. Other than iPhone OS 3.0 and above, the application is also compatible with iPod Touch and iPad.
