Netflix app arrives onto Windows Phone 7 platform

Netflix Microsoft has been making noise for all the right reasons. The company’s recently launched operating system Windows Phone 7 has almost been in news every other day. We’ve seen several smartphones based on this platform being introduced in several markets this month.

Augmenting their experience is the latest announcement from the official Netflix blog. The folks in the product development team have stated that from now on Windows Phone 7 enabled smartphone owners can instantly view their favorite TV shows and movies with the help of the Netflix application. However, this functionality is available only to the denizens of the United States of America and Canada.

The same service has also been introduced for Xbox Live Gold members. Netflix also offers similar functionality for iPhone users. In fact, just recently we had posted about the Netflix app being upgraded with the ability to stream out video.
