Native photo upload solution for Palm Pre launched by Photobucket

Palm Photobucket AppThe popular online video and photo sharing website, Photobucket introduces a native photo upload solution for the latest Palm Pre smartphone. This application claims to ease the task of sharing images and videos for Pre users.

Photobucket being a pre-installed photo upload partner enables Pre users to send photos captured from their handset easily to a Photobucket album. This operation can be performed without the need to download any application. Sending pictures to users’ Photobucket account is now simple, they merely have to get a picture and tap it on the Photobucket entry.

“Taking photos with a mobile device is quickly becoming a favorite way to capture memories. With Photobucket integrated into the core functionality of Palm Pre, photo taking and sharing is a breeze,” quoted Pam Deziel, vice president, Developer Marketing, Palm, Inc.

To create a Photobucket account on Pre, users need to opt for ‘Photos’ from the launcher, tap ‘Preferences and Accounts’ from the menu and then select ‘Add an Account’. To get a feel of Photobucket, users can log on to the website www.photobucket.com from their Palm Pre browser. Moreover they can search varied photos and images from this website and even view photos in their albums or share photos from a mobile phone.

The price of this application is not yet known.
