MSN For iPad

Expanding the list of entertainment options for Apple tablet owners is the new MSN for iPad app. The application which was previously available for users in the UK, Germany, France and Canada, has now been made available for those residing in the U.S.

The app is displayed in the form of an online magazine and offers users a plethora of entertainment content options from around the world. As the official MSN blog suggests, iPad owners can gain easy access to the latest trending videos on the web and the freshest news divided according to genres.

The subsections of news include money, autos, living, sports, entertainment and celebrities, editor’s picks and general updates. The iOS tool sources information from its parent website, MSNBC.com while the sports related data is presented via Foxsports.com. It comes with built-in Bing and provides convenient access to chat applications such as Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger.

Users can easily browse through articles with the swipe of a finger in either portrait or landscape orientations. The application features an offline mode situated on the top right side of the menu bar, which makes it possible for people to view content while on the move even in the absence of an active wireless connection.

They simply have to find a word or phrase that needs to be highlighted and hold the left or right margin with their thumb while circling the written material. Thereafter, the selected text would immediately be launched for search via Bing.

The MSN for iPad app can now be downloaded for free from the App Store.
