Motorola Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD might be released in October

Motorola Razr HD Series

The highly anticipated Motorola Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD smartphones are expected to hit stores this October, that’s provided everything goes as planned for the Chicago-based manufacturer. Needless to say, the two handsets will arrive as successors to the Razr and Razr Maxx which are available in the market.

Based on a reliable source, HotHardware points out that the company would be in a position to launch the handsets only if it is able to ship a sufficient number of the previously released units in the forthcoming months. If the target is not achieved, the launch could be pushed back a little, which might be disappointing for some.

A while ago, a few leaked images of the Razr HD flooded the web. And based on the amount of excitement it has generated, the phone could turn out to be the company’s next flagship device. The two smartphones are said to share similar features, apart from a larger-sized battery in order for the Razr Maxx HD to deliver more hours of run time.

Buyers can expect to find an HD display that offers a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels in both devices. The handsets are also rumored to draw steam from a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor which operates at 1.5GHz. What’s more, the Ice Cream Sandwich platform is likely to run the show.

For now, the company is yet to shed light on the official Motorola Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD release date details. But we’ve still got our fingers crossed for an October release.
