Motorola Olympus coming out this December/January?

AT&T

Previously, we had reported about the supposed LG Star operating on dual core Tegra 2 processors. Well, a couple of days back another device that popped up in the wild, dubbed the Motorola Olympus operates on a similar processor. Due to some faux pas on AT&T’s end, the release date of this dual core, Tegra 2 Android handset was leaked.

BoyGeniusReport highlights that someone working on the AT&T Share Facebook page slipped out that the Olympus could be available by December/January. According to folks at the website, one of their readers prodded AT&T Facebook on the availability of this dual-core Tegra 2 processor operating device. Surprisingly, they replied by posting ‘The Motorola Olympus should be available in December or January.’

When we headed over to the conversation AT&T’s comment had been deleted, so we really couldn’t verify this. Well, this could be passed over as a simple error on their side. However, on being questioned by BoyGeniusReport, the carrier came forward and apparently stated that ‘This response was posted erroneously. We don’t have any information to share about upcoming devices.’

Looks like this could be one of AT&T and Motorola’s tightly guarded secrets. This is said to be the first time that the smartphone has been acknowledged by the carrier. Just as always these are just a bunch of rumors, though if the Olympus actually makes its way through by December it would be in the nick of time for this year’s white washed holiday season.
