Motorola Krave ZN4 and VU204 now on Verizon

Motorola VerizonMotorola is gearing up to introduce two new phones via Verizon, the Motorola Krave ZN4 and VU204. Among the two, the Krave ZN4 is supposed to be one of the first touch screen phones to be launched through the major US carrier.

A high-end device, the Moto Krave ZN4 is a touch screen handset packed with live digital TV, the VCast Mobile TV along with a MediaFLO tuner, a complete HTML browser and a much faster internet access with EVDP Rev A. In fact the phone looks quite similar to Chinese-based MING series. Other features of the phone include a 2 megapixel camera, Visual Voice Mail, a microUSB port and MicroSDHC support. The phone is slated to appear by October 14th, 2008 at a price of $150 for a two year contract. It will also sell under Verizon’s new contract free strategy for $350.

The second mobile device to launch through Verizon is the VU204. The handset is more of a basic phone in a clamshell design. Key attributes of the Motorola V204 include an outer VGA camera and a Bluetooth. The device is expected to release around the same time as the Krave ZN4, though there’s no official date as yet. Verizon should sell this entry level phone for around $30 after signing a plan and rebate.

Both phones additionally support Verizon’s VZ Navigator service for voice guided navigation and GPS.
