Verizon Wireless has announced the availability of the stylish and sleek Motorola Droid Xyboard tablets. The Droid Xyboard 10.1 and Droid Xyboard 8.2 are said to be pieces of advanced technology which operate on 1.2GHz dual-core processors.

The freshly introduced tablets are powered by the Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS and run on Verizon Wireless’ speedy 4G LTE network. They are touted to possess a form factor that is slimmer than a AAA battery and apparently weigh lighter than an average paperback book. Both the devices are scheduled to soon be upgraded to the next generation Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

The Xyboard slates come equipped with the MotoCast app which provides remote access to music, photos, videos and documents that are not secured with DRM and are stored on the hard drives of work or home computers. These mobile devices claim to make internet browsing a smooth and fast experience as they offer download speeds of 5Mbps to 12Mbps and upload speeds of 2Mbps to 5Mbps, within the 4G LTE mobile broadband coverage regions.
