Moto G gen 3 water-resistant phone launched starting at Rs 11999

Motorola has unveiled the highly anticipated Moto G gen 3 in two options of 16GB with 2GB RAM and 8GB with 1GB RAM. Along with this smartphone, the Lenovo-owned company also showed off two other more expensive options called the Moto X Style and Moto X Play.

The new Moto G is a mid-range handset with a 1080p full HD 294ppi screen measuring 5 inches and protected by Gorilla Glass 3. In addition to being able to dodge minor scratches and bumps, it has also received IPX7 certification for water resistance.

The phone is powered by Android Lollipop and 1GB or 2GB of RAM, depending on the memory capacity you choose, as mentioned above. The 16GB Moto G 3rd gen carries a price tag of Rs 12999, while the 8GB one can be snapped up for Rs 11999. Flipkart is the exclusive seller of the Moto devices in India.

Although Motorola has only launched the smartphone in black and white, there are a range of colorful rear shells to pick from. The Moto X Style, with its 5.7-inch QHD display, 21MP main camera, and Snapdragon 808 processor, is the company’s flagship device. And the X Play is more of a mid-range handset.
