G700, G900 Sony Ericsson has come up with two new mobile phones namely G700 and G900. The G700 helps keep your contacts, calendars, notes, photos etc just a touch away. The G900 replicates all the functions of the G700 and also has an added 5.0 megapixel camera with touch auto focus.They offer the same features the only difference is that G700 offers a 3.2 megapixel camera whereas the G900 comes with a 5.0 megapixel camera.

Martin Winkler, Director Global Marketing and Head of Multimedia Web at Sony Ericsson. said, “Sony Ericsson is delivering touchscreen and innovative organiser capabilities to a wide audience without compromising on the size or shape of the phone. Both the G700 and G900 have regular keyboards and are no larger than a regular phone.”

“These phones are ideal for users that are only interested in making their lives simpler. It’s not about technology for the sake of it,” Winkler added.

The G700 and G900 measure 106 x 49 x 13mm, weigh 99 grams and exhibit features like 2.4″ touchscreen, one-touch organiser functions and touch control notes applications. These phones are equipped with a media player, mega bass, music tones, Bluetooth stereo (A2DP), video viewing and streaming, 3D games, Opera web browser, polyphonic ringtones, speakerphone, video calling, vibrating alert, push email, exchange active sync, sound recorder, 160 MB Memory Stick Micro (M2) and text messaging. They claim to offer simplicity with intuitive application. The G700 and G900 offer UMTS 2100 and GSM/ GPRS connectivity. With GSM/GPRS they provide 12 hrs of talk time and 380 hours of stand by time while with UMTS it provides talk time of 4 hrs, 380 hours of stand by time and 2.5 hours of video call.

The G700 and G900 includes a battery, charger, USB cable, stereo portable handsfree, Media Manager software, Sony Ericsson PC Suite, 2 stylus and a user guide. The G700 will be dressed in silk bronze while the G900 will come in dark red and dark brown. They are said to be available in selected markets from Q2 2008.
