Mio technology unveils Mio Explora K75 and K70 and more at Computex 2009

Explora K75 and K70Mio technology launched a few high end GPS phones like Mio Explora K75 and K70 and a host of other gadgets at the Computex 2009. They also introduced GPS devices like the Moov V500 and V700 series which possess a built in digital TV tuner.

Moving forward, Mio will build on our solid experience of developing leading navigation solutions and integrating stylish hardware design to provide more versatile PNDs and communication products that fit the modern mobile life style” commented Samuel Wang,President of Mio Technology.

The Explora K75 is a blend of a PND and a smartphone. This device claims to be an economical one. It was accredited with ‘Best Choice Award of Computex 2009’. It has an ultra-slim body and 3.5” touchscreen. The smartphone was awarded for its finest GPS sensitivity and advanced navigation software ‘Mio Spirit’ mobile edition. Its user interface is instinctive and facilitates faster searching of POI. Swapping between the smartphone modes to navigation mode, accessing documents and handling multimedia features on Windows Mobile 6.1 OS is now trouble-free. All these are possible just by the touch of a dedicated hot key.

Mio has also launched Moov V500 and V700 series of digital TV PND. The Moov V range of PND claims to be the best in mobile entertainment and navigation while on the move. Additionally the company has introduced its netbook series comprising of Litepad N890 and Litepad N1210. Both these devices provide built in 3.5G broadband, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The price and the availability of the smartphones are not yet disclosed.
