Mini launches first mobile App for roadside assistance

Mini mobile appFor providing roadside assistance to consumers, Mini USA recently proclaimed a free mobile phone application for owners of the Mini. The newly launched mobile application allows Mini owners to have access to roadside assistance with the simple touch of an icon. The application is available for iPhone and a few Blackberry users.

Consumers can be ensured with safety and assistance as the application connects users to wide roadside assistance. It also provides automatic and relevant information about the vehicle, most importantly, its exact location by the service provider.

“Mini owners appreciate technological innovation and will welcome the additional peace of mind that comes from having fast, easy access to the free roadside services provided during their warranty period,” explained Jim McDowell, Vice President Mini USA.

The recently released Mini Road Assist app enables a driver with complete control while traveling. Moreover the application for allows the driver to take complete charge whether the concern is for boosting the battery or replacing a flat tyre. Adding more to its services are instant help once a call is made.

Mini owners need to download the application to their iPhone or suitable Blackberry mobile phones in order to start using this great service provider application. There is step-by-step assistance also for users to enter their Vehicle I.D, name, address and other details. Instruction for uploading a photo of their Mini is also provided.

The service provider offers detailed information whenever a Mini owner needs any roadside help. The user needs to launch the application, select their service need and press the call button whenever roadside help is required. On the other hand, their queries and doubts are cleared by customer care immediately. Information on vehicle location and service need are all transmitted automatically to the user, helping save valuable time to get them motoring again as quickly as possible.

The application provides the driver with the service provider’s name once the service is confirmed along with an estimated arrival time. An automated service follows up later ensuring whether the issue has been resolved or not.

The Mini application for roadside assistance is free to all Mini owners as long as the vehicle has a warranty. And Mini owners whose vehicle warranty has expired can also download the free app and use the roadside assistance for a fee set by the service provider. As of now price of the application is not revealed.
