Microsoft to uncover Windows phones on October 6

Microsoft will unmask the Windows phones at retail stores globally on October 6. The latest phones will get an opportunity to feature Windows Mobile 6.5, the new and advanced version of Microsoft’s mobile phone software.

The redesigned Internet Explorer Mobile browser comes with a new engine and built-in Adobe Flash Lite support for enhanced rendering and tasks completion. Users will now find more facilities offered from their mobile phones such as getting directions or simply paying bills.

Microsoft Office Mobile enables users to open and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents directly from their mobile phones. Consumers can now keep updates about their friends in one place with the help of Windows Live on their mobile phones.

Its free My Phone service will enable users to automatically backup and sync photos, music, contacts along with text messages from their mobile phones to the Web.
