Microsoft showcases new usabilities of Windows Phone at MIX11

Recently, Microsoft exhibited the next version of the Windows Phone operating system along with Kinect Windows SDK and Silverlight 5 Beta. This operating system comes with advanced hardware abilities and offers developers better browsing capabilities.

Crafted to enhance application environment that expands mobile usage scenarios, this entrant offers developers an updated Windows Phone Developer Tools. It comes with improved tools such as a performance profiler and sensor simulation that help fabricate more integrated and high-performing applications. The platform allows developers design apps that not only multi-task for background processing, but also transfer audio and file.

“The next release of Windows Phone represents the evolution of our strategy for ensuring that developers are at the forefront of ‘what’s next’ by investing in even richer customer experiences, a powerful application platform and a thriving ecosystem,” added Joe Belfiore, corporate vice president, Windows Phone Program Management. “We will soon deliver a new set of Windows Phone Developer Tools that will enable developers to create a new generation of apps that are even faster, more capable and better integrated with Windows Phone.”

Empowering users to indulge in the versatility of Live Tiles, the platform allows create innovative and engaging Windows Phone apps as well as games. Microsoft revealed that the free Windows Phone Developer Tools for the new Windows Phone OS will be made available for developers in the forthcoming month.

The company even offered an early glimpse of some features in the Kinect for Windows Beta SDK from Microsoft Research coming later this year. Apart from this, the MIX11 also witnessed the launch of highly anticipated beta version of Silverlight 5.
