Just so you remember the Micromax brand, the company is at it again with the Micromax Canvas Power A96. It’s the latest in the barrage of devices the Indian manufacturer has been releasing of late. But don’t be fooled by its quad core processor – the device still falls in the affordable segment.
Not waiting for an official announcement via a press release or something, the Micromax Canvas Power A96 has gone ahead and landed on the company’s product page. The smartphone has a price of Rs 9900 attached to it and you can buy it online by following this link.
The highlight of the Micromax Canvas phone is the battery it houses. The Power in the moniker indicates precisely that. There’s a huge 4000mAh battery hiding under the hood and though the company hasn’t mentioned anything about usage time, we’re assuming it will be pretty good.
But then again, they do surprise us sometimes. A 1.3GHz quad core processor which we suspect to be a MediaTek one helps the handset along. It’s a little bit odd that Micromax hasn’t supplied the latest version of Jelly Bean (4.3) at least to this device. Makes it sound dated. Forgot to announce the smartphone earlier?

As you can see from the lack of information above, a hurried run of the specifications is all the manufacturer is giving us.
