Micromax Bolt A61 packs a punch in its stylish metallic chassis

The Micromax Bolt A61 smartphone is the newest edition in the Bolt series and like its counterparts from the lineup, it is likely to fall in the affordable category. It claims to have high endurance levels as the exterior of the handset is made of metal, but adopts a stylish design.

This Micromax gadget’s TFT touchscreen of 4 inches has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The responsibility of handling the internal working of the device as well as making it capable of multitasking with ease has been assigned to the Spreadtrum SC7710 processor which manages to clock in a speed of 1GHz. Only 256MB of RAM has been loaded into the Bolt A61 though.

As for the storage space, the dual SIM device has merely 512MB of it, but you get increase it further by up to 16GB using a microSD card. It plays host to dual cameras, a VGA webcam comes in handy for video calling purposes, whereas a 2MP rear-facing snapper allows you to take pictures and record videos.

The Android-based smartphone makes the most of the Jelly Bean 4.1 OS and brings common attributes like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB connectivity and a 3.5mm audio port amongst other things. And within the chassis, hides a 1500mAh battery that can cough up the juice for standby time of close to 160 hours. It provides talk time of about 3.55 hours on a single charge.

The Micromax Bolt A61 has appeared on the official website, but without price or availability details. It should go up for sale very soon.
