MetroPCS shows off first Android smartphone, LG Optimus M

LG Phone MetroPCS is ready to enter the world of Android smartphone by extending its collaboration with LG Mobile Phones. Recently, MetroPCS along with LG announced the launch of LG Optimus M. This sleek Android device crafted with a vibrant 3.2 inch touchscreen is the first smartphone introduced by MetroPCS.

Wrapped with more than 100,000 apps, the device ensures efficient connectivity and entertainment. LG Optimus M has multi-app screens and the Android 2.2 operating system ‘Froyo.’ Also Metro USA nationwide unlimited talk, text and web services can be made available to users at just $50 per month. Free from annual contract, the device is easy-to-use and equipped with the latest Android technology. LG Optimus M has been designed with features that focus on boosting consumers’ experience.

LG Optimus M opens a path to the growing Android market and takes us one step closer to providing a full-service, postpaid experience while maintaining the affordability, flexibility and predictability of our Wireless for All services,” quoted Roger Linquist, chairman, president and CEO of MetroPCS.

Other than Android 2.2 operating system for getting in touch with Google mobile, the smartphone has 3.2 MP camera and easy Wi-Fi connectivity. Powered with multi-app screens, users can now organize content and simplify accessibility. LG Optimus M is capable of storing more than 100,000 applications and almost 60 percent Android Market apps are free.

LG Optimus M will be arriving in MetroPCS stores and online from November 24 onwards for $229 with a $50 monthly service plan.
