McAfee’s business-ready solutions and mobile security suite enable various device manufacturers to safeguard their products against threats such as data loss, malware and theft. The company has combined its VirusScan and WaveSecure mobile technologies as a single license for various partners.
The McAfee WaveSecure software is available in 16 different languages and will offer users the ability to locate, lock, back-up, wipe and obtain data from stolen or misplaced gadgets. The McAfee VirusScan mobile software shields devices from viruses and malicious applications by scanning and cleaning various e-mails, files and internet downloads.
As a part of the ‘Business Ready’ program, McAfee presents partners with the Enterprise Mobility Management client software coupled with the Mobile Security consumer client technology to provide enhanced enterprise solutions. McAfee EMM allows enterprises to supply its employees with easy and secured access to mobile corporate applications.
The McAfee WaveSecure software will be made available by the second quarter of 2011 and the McAfee VirusScan mobile software has already started shipping as an SDK kit to numerous OEM customers the world over.
