Users can send and receive messages from their connections, add new members, accept or decline invitations, browse profiles, search connections, and share status updates. The app will be initially released for the Nokia N8, E7 and C6 mobile phones. Users can seamlessly view and share business intelligence and updates with their networks.

Hari V. Krishnan, Country Manager, LinkedIn India, commented, “The growing number of professionals in India is a major factor in driving the adoption of mobile phones here to over 600 million users. Today’s professionals seek connectivity on the go and the availability of LinkedIn for Nokia’s wide range of smartphones provides an apt solution to this demand. Through this application, we will continue to connect talent to opportunity, making professionals productive and successful.”

The company also offers a unified search across the users’ direct connections and the entire LinkedIn network. The LinkedIn app on the Ovi Store provides an incredible speech bubble icon on the top-right, enabling users to post status messages that can be flawlessly synched with the twitter account.
