An array of mobile applications like Shopkick and Groupon fulfilled the wishes of shopaholics as it enabled them to purchase things from their devices itself. Now, the Likestyle application is the latest to enter this space for owners of mobile devices. The platform matches users with similar interests and offers them deals based on the same.
By utilizing consumers input, the service offers personalized rewards to the variation of group purchasing, entitled as tag teams. It enables users to answer basic questions like ‘What do you like about this spot?’ and puts together the ones with similar interests and buyer motivation into one team. Further users with same thinking can seamlessly connect to each other and share exciting offers and timed actions. With this sharing, users can save a considerable amount on ‘tagging’ retail, restaurant and hotel locations.
Likestyle Co-Founder Brad Thorne, stated, “Likestyle really makes it simple for a consumer to be seen and appreciated as an individual. Rather than promote generic offers, our platform allows users to share rewards and offers with others that appreciate the things they do. Consumers don’t need to pressure their social networks to participate. In fact, we can bring like-minded people together and it’s all based on interests.”
“Our tags are simple and effective and can be placed practically anywhere needed to deliver rewards without the installation of hardware. We’re currently in discussions to launch tags in individual store departments, waiting rooms, vending machines and historical towns to name a few,” explained, Co-Founder Jerry Broughton.
The platform also safeguards users’ privacy as it does not display their locations, instead uses various other usernames. Through the use of tags and labels of specialized QR codes, the service enables team members with various offers by just snapping their mobile devices. QR codes provide users with specific location information in the physical space as well.
The Likestyle application will soon hit the markets in the coming months and will be made available to several mobile platforms like Android, iOS and Blackberry.
