LG working on a dual core Tegra 2 Android smartphone?

LG codename Star

Looks like handset manufacturers are in a hurry to be the first to unveil a smartphone integrated with a dual core processor. A little while back we had supposedly spotted the Samsung Galaxy 2 with dual core specifications. Yesterday, Engadget got its hands on exclusive images and specifications of an LG handset that flaunts a 4 inch display along with a dual core processor running on Android.

What’s more, it furnishes the power packed Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. Well, if it actually sees the light then this might be the first handset to be operating on this processor. Those who are looking for more specifications, there are chances of this beast being fitted with an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p video recording.

The device might be codenamed Star internally, although that could very much change as it is not new for companies to keep playing around with names. (The BlackBerry Style was one such an example of a merry go round of names.) Apparently, a tiny forward facing camera can be seen on the front bezel.

Moreover, folks at Engadget state that it will include microUSB connectivity, a 1500mAh battery and microSD memory expandability. The release date for this Android smartphone seems to be around early 2011.
