It appears to be raining Android phones at Verizon Wireless quarters. The most recent entrant is the LG Revolution phone which is now being offered through Verizon Wireless. The 4G LTE handset is claimed to be a powerhouse of entertainment with enhanced performance.
Stated to be the first Android smartphone with an in-built Netflix application, it allows Netflix subscribers to access movies and television sitcoms. With its 4.3 inch wide capacitive touchscreen, users can have a pleasing experience of viewing captured HD images or videos while also being able to share them. An integrated HDMI output and SmartShare ability assist users to share multimedia content with HDMI capable displays.
Users can expect download speeds of 5Mbps to 12Mbps and look forward to upload speeds of 2Mbps to 5Mbps in 4G mobile broadband coverage areas. The device is incorporated with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Adobe Flash player, 16GB microSD card, Bing Search and Maps, Wi-Fi connectivity 802.11 b/g/n. It functions on the Android 2.2 platform. The device has Mobile Hotspot that permits sharing the 4G LTE network with up to 8 Wi-Fi enabled devices or a 3G connection with up to 5 devices. The built-in Bluetooth version 3.0 holds up handset, advanced audio stereo and more profiles.
While other device manufacturers are seen implanting a 5MP and above camera, this handset has an average 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat and 720p HD for video recording and play. The device is also characterized with V CAST Apps, a virtual QWERTY keyboard with SWYPE technology and Dolby Mobile. It comes with a wide-range of options in the included image editor tool as well including crop, rotate, resize and others.
The LG Revolution is available in Verizon stores and online for $249.99 with a new two-year customer agreement. Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan and a data package are essential for Revolution customers. In addition to this, the Mobile Hotspot feature will be included for a limited time period.
