LG Optimus Vu price in India goes official, serves Android Ice Cream Sandwich

The LG Optimus Vu price in India has been unveiled and it could be a fine option for those willing to shell out a fair bit for a smartphone riding on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform. Well, the company hasn’t mentioned details about whether or not the handset will be upgraded to the Jelly Bean OS, but buyers can keep their fingers crossed on this matter.

Going by the specifications sheet, this large-sized, 8.5mm-thick smartphone-cum-tablet features a 5-inch touch panel that offers an aspect ratio of 4:3 and a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. A 1.3MP secondary camera placed above the display lets users conduct video calls on the go, while there’s even an 8MP primary snapper for capturing stills and recording clips. And to provide space for hoarding content, the handset comes with 32GB of internal memory that can’t be further expanded.

The Optimus Vu tags along an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor with clock speeds of up to 1.5GHz in addition to a Rubberdium stylus for quick input. Using the pen, customers can jot down notes and memos on the QuickMemo application without having to exit an ongoing application. Plus, the handset comes with a fresh User Experience UI that should add to the overall touch factor. In addition to NFC, there’s the MHL connectivity that helps in transferring files directly to a smart TV. Lastly, a 2,080mAh battery juices up the device.

As per its price in India, the LG Optimus Vu will be available for purchase at a cost of Rs. 34,500. Its release date details are still under wraps.
