LG Optimus L9 II leaked image draws it closer to reality

The LG Optimus L9 II can be counted as one of those smartphones which can seldom be spotted in the news, but come with substantial grabs when they do. If previously, we’d had mere glimpses of LG smartphone and a handful of specifications to go by, this time it has been captured to render its front and back profile (in white).

The details which have recently crept out reflect earlier made estimations, except those concerning the onboard processor. While one of our older piece points in the direction of a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset powering the device, the latest news has a Snapdragon S4 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, taking charge.

It doesn’t help that there’s a mention of Adreno 305 graphics’ inclusion, since both the aforementioned chipsets have been crafted with the GPU. So we’ll leave it at that for now. Also, we’re guessing that the folks over at The UnLockr intend to talk about an MSM8230 instead of MSM8320 processor, which means that the Snapdragon Plus can be expected to reside within the Optimus L9 II.

With the L1 II’s launch early this month and now rumors of the 4.7-inch ICS smartphone’s successor surfacing, it’s clear that the South Korean manufacturer isn’t through with the Dual series. But we’d rather wait for the company itself to confirm this bit of information.

We’ll be back with the price and availability details of the Optimus L9 II if and when the smartphone receives an official recognition.

Meanwhile, take a look at the device’s purported specifications:

– 4.7-inch 1280 x720p touch display
– Android 4.1.2 OS

– Adreno 305 graphics
– 1GB of RAM
