The LG Optimus L3II, L5II and L7II have been formally announced and the company is all set to lift the cover off these phones at the MWC this year. Riding on the success of the previous line-up that made its debut at the expo last year, the maker will now try its luck with this latest series.
Although in depth specifications of the Optimus L3II and L5II have not been divulged, the official details do allow a sneak peek into what could be expected from these devices. The former will showcase a 3.2-inch QVGA IPS touchscreen and a decent battery capacity of 1540mAh. The latter, on the other hand, will have a 4-inch WVGA display and will be housing a battery with a capacity of 1700mAh.
Prospective customers have been provided with some insight into particulars of the Optimus L7II. The smartphone will contain the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform and be driven by a 1GHz dual core Qualcomm processor which would be supported in the form of 768MB of RAM. An internal memory of 4GB is granted and can be extended through the microSD slot. Furthermore, users can capture pictures and videos through the 8MP main snapper that comes with LED flash. Video conferencing can be enabled through a VGA camera that rests on the 4.3-inch front panel.
Attempting to capitalize on the growing popularity of dual SIM phones, the maker has included variants in the series that can support an additional SIM. Apps like QuickMemo, QuickButton and SafetyCare that are specific to the company have been integrated into each device alongside various other tools. In order to boost the design, the manufacturer has incorporated a number of elements including LED lighting on the home button.
The announcement of the LG Optimus L3II and L5II does not reveal any particular release date or price. The company however, does mention that potential consumers can anticipate the dual SIM version of the L7II to be launched in Russia this week.
