Going by the reports that have flooded the web, a certain South Korean company has scheduled the LG Optimus G Nexus US launch to fall by the end of this month. As of now, there’s no word with regards to the handset’s name, but it is rumored to be quite similar to the original device.

According to the guys over at CNET, the company plans to unveil its upcoming Google-branded handset by the end of October. Not just that, the original smartphone will be customized to fit the standards of the Nexus program. Over the years, the report claims that the manufacturer has put in numerous efforts to strike a chord amongst consumers, especially in the US. With AT&T selling the Optimus G and LG’s next big thing making headlines, potential buyers seem to have a lot to look forward to.

Moving on to the specifications of the handset, it is likely to keep up to Google’s tradition of launching with the latest Android version. And this time, we are speaking about the Jelly Bean 4.2 platform that’s been under speculation for quite a while. The smartphone will feature a True HD 1280 x 768 pixel IPS display in addition to a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor and 2GB RAM. It should be available in 8GB and 16GB versions with a non-removable battery. Modaco also informs that the company will not include a microSD card slot for this particular phone.
