With several mobile phones being inaugurated at the CES, why should LG be left behind? LG has unveiled their latest handset, LG GW990 at the CES, reports Engadget.

This device is quite huge in size as the touchscreen display is 4.8-inch and is Moorestown-powered. When it comes to detailed specifications, the phone is available with 16GB of en suite flash memory and 512MB RAM and 720p output. The gadget has a screen resolution of 1020 x 480.

For photography buffs, the handset is equipped with a 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD video. The device sports a GPS with A-GPS support as well as 3D gaming. A microSD card slot and Intel Atom 45nm processor are also available with the phone. Other attributes include 1850mAH battery, Linux Moblin OS with LG S-class UI, 7.2 MBPs HSDPA and 5.6MBPs HSUPA.

One of the striking features of this mobile phone is that it claims to consume around 10 times less energy as compared to former handsets that utilize the Intel Atom processor. According to reports, the LG GW990 is scheduled to hit the market in the second half of 2010.
