Lenovo K3 Note may launch in India via company’s June 25 event

On July 25, the Lenovo K3 Note is expected to add to the company’s collection of budget-friendly smartphones in India. It will be joining the likes of the Lenovo S60, A6000 Plus and A7000, while competing with rivals such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, Yu Yureka and second generation Moto G.

The Lenovo K3 Note features support for 4G LTE networks, just like the last few releases by the company. 4G deployment is yet to pick up speed in India, but we are undoubtedly moving in the right direction. Airtel, Aircel, Relience Jio, Idea Cellular and even state-run BSNL are all scrambling to get a foothold in the market for this next generation network.

The K3 Note sports a 5.5-inch touchscreen of full HD quality and has a 5MP ‘selfie’ camera perched above it. The phone runs on Android Lollipop 5.0 and gets its steam from an octa core 1.7GHz MT6752 processor. Even if we don’t know what the device will cost in India, its MediaTek chipset gives away the fact that it’ll be quite gentle on your wallet.

Since it can be bought for 899 Yuan (almost Rs 9000) in China, it may just ask for around Rs 10000 including taxes in India. The press invitation post by BGR India, which sparked the rumor about Lenovo releasing its phablet in India next week, says ‘Note the date’. So it seems pretty clear that the company will be unveiling the 5.5-inch handset on the said date.
