Another device to have jumped on to the budget-friendly tablet bandwagon is the Lava E-Tab Z7H, from the company that’s so far the only one in India to manufacture an Intel-based smartphone. The slate is already up for pre-order through the online retailer Flipkart.
BGR India was one amongst the first few to notice the slab on the retailer’s website. This Android Ice Cream Sandwich-based Lava tablet acquires multitasking properties from 512MB RAM and a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor that rests under the hood. Its enhanced graphics performance can be attributed to Mali-400 3D and OpenGL 2.0 support.
The front panel of this slate is dominated by a 7-inch TFT LCD capacitive multi-touch display, capable of rendering visuals in 800 x 480p resolution. Prospective users can click pictures and record videos with the help of its 0.3MP primary camera and also expand its 4GB onboard memory with a microSD card of up to 32GB capacity.
The 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi-certified tablet can extend support to the 3G network, but only with the assistance of an external dongle. The lightweight device is embedded with a microUSB port as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack and can play most of the common audio and video formats. It draws power from a 2,800mAh lithium-ion battery.
The Lava E-Tab Z7H price in India is Rs. 5,499 and it can be pre-ordered through Flipkart.com. The slab should start shipping this week itself.
