Laser Matrix Projector for iPhone

Laser Matrix Projector iPhone Here is a DIY system that lets users utilize their iPhone as a projector. Although less expensive than a pico-projector like the AAXA P1, this system is not very flexible, using 35 individual laser pointers to recreate any bitmap font.

The lay-out of the 35 laser modules is in a 5×7 matrix format, and they are slotted into a basic PCB board. These 35 laser modules are connected to a microcontroller via five 8-bit latches. The serial port is the area through which the software on the iPhone communicates. Now users can type in a sentence and watch it automatically getting mapped into different layouts.

Looks like technology is getting smaller and smarter by the day. We all know that the iPhone is pumped with a variety of features and has an array of applications to choose from, however this new system scores some more brownie points for making the iPhone a much useful device than before.
