Kobo Vox eReader The latest to join the Kobo eReader family is the Vox social eReader which not only lets users enjoy a wide range of eBooks, but also allows them to keep in touch with their friends through social networking. The Kobo Vox eReader is now up for pre-order in the U.S. and Canada.

This social eReader based on the Android 2.3 platform can be used to interact with readers around the world through social networking websites. Drenched in shades of hot pink, lime green, ice blue and jet black, the lightweight tablet is easy to hold. It is fitted with a 7 inch AFFS+ multitouch display which projects vivid images even in bright lights with the aid of its anti-glare technology. Boasting of a user-friendly interface, it recognizes gestures such as tap or swipe.

The Vox is capable of storing up to 8000 eBooks with expandable memory slot for about 40,000 books. Additionally, users can also save their reading content in the Kobo cloud services for instant access.

The Kobo Vox eReader is priced at $199.99 and is up for pre-order through the official web portal. Also, the tablet will be available through Best Buy, Indigo Books & Music and Future Shop in Canada, while via Fry’s Electronics and Best Buy in the U.S.
