Kobian Mercury mTab7 price in India Rs. 6,499, up for grabs already

The Mercury mTab7 price in India has been revealed by Kobian, a brand that’s not known for merely associating itself with budget tablets. It’s given us the Rs. 15,000 mTab Neo2 and the Rs. 16,000 Neo previously.

This time around, the company is catering to the ‘price sensitive Indian market’ with its latest introduction. It is the sixth and newest of the mTab members, all of which run various versions of the Google mobile OS.

The Mercury tablet in question works on a Cortex A8 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz and 512MB of RAM. It runs Android 4.0 and offers Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. Just to be clear, 3G is only supported via a compatible dongle.

The 7” touch display stretched across the device’s face is of the capacitive type and it can accommodate Adobe Flash v11.1 in order to deliver a decent web surfing experience. For video calling purposes, there’s a basic 0.3MP front-facing camera sitting on the bezel.

The modest-sized chassis embeds a microSD slot that can accept memory cards of up to 32GB capacity. That’s in case users find the internal hoarding space of 4GB insufficient for their various needs. Since the entire 4GB of storage won’t be accessible to users, the microSD expandability option was inevitable anyway.

For a price of Rs. 6,499, enthusiasts in India can get hold of the Kobian Mercury mTab7 with a year of warranty.
