The Karbonn Smart A51 is an extremely budget-friendly smartphone as it offers a taste of the Android platform for a wallet-pleasing price of Rs 3,499. It is currently available for sale through Saholic and comes drenched in shades of white and black.
Although it operates with the assistance of the Android platform, the Karbonn smartphone doesn’t make the most of Jelly Bean. An Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 treat is what prospective users can expect from the device. A TFT LCD display measuring 3.5 inches rests on the front panel along with a G sensor and delivers visuals in 480 x 320p resolution.
The front side even sports a VGA camera that facilitates video conferencing on the move and a 3.2MP snapper with LED flash and video recording capability rests on the rear surface of the Smart A51. The captured videos and images can be saved in the phone’s 512MB onboard memory. And if this is insufficient, users can insert a microSD card in an expansion slot to bump it up by 32GB.
A 1GHz processor has been incorporated to offer multitasking properties and 256MB of RAM hides under the hood to assist the chipset. And as far as the battery is concerned, a 1100mAh power pack has been provided for a relatively long usage time. Dual SIM card slots have also been carved into the chassis and other attributes like Wi-Fi, GPRS, Bluetooth and more can also be found in it.
