Is Verizon’s Droid Pro retailing for $299 on-contract from November 11?

Droid Pro Verizon page

The first week of October saw Motorola and Verizon joining hands to doff the silk of the latest Droid Pro. Although, back then neither of them lifted the mist off the pricing and availability details, they simply stated that it will be announced closer to the product launch. Well, we don’t know if the release date is nearing, but DroidLife has sighted the device’s test site stating that it might be sold for $299 along with a two year contract by November 11, 2010.

Operating on Android 2.2 Froyo, this handset flaunts a wide screen with a QWERTY keypad. This beauty fitted with a 5MP camera does appear to be feature packed but is it worth a $299 tag? With such a high price, most of us are wondering what kind of subsidies will be clipped on to its price tag. There’s word in the web world that the handset might come with a $100 instant rebate. Probably, this will be included as a later part of the deal.

In addition to the above tit-bit the Verizon Wireless test site link has been posted on Twitter, inquiring if there is a probability of this smartphone retailing for such a high price. That’s as much on the unofficial side, we are sincerely hoping that some discounts pop up soon from an official source.
