It appears as if handset manufacturers have finally got bored of converting casual words such as surround, fascinate, cookie, merge into brands and thus have opted for terms with a strong historical backing like the lexeme, Knight. Well, at least that’s what we hear from xda-developers who’ve sighted the HTC Knight in Sprint livery.
Said to operate on some Android version, this beauty appears to have capacitive touchscreen keys. It might even have a 3.7 inch display and a slide out keypad. The reason why this is proposed is because the folks at the site have found an XML file which states that ‘Do not slide screen in/out during the operation’.
However, there is a possibility that the slider could be for the speakers and not a keypad as we have previously seen such an offering from the same manufacturer, the HTC Surround. Moreover, some in the web world believe that it could even be a CDMA variant of the Desire Z.
In addition to the aforementioned details, xda-developers’ source believes that the handset will be out very soon since such information usually comes out 2 weeks before the release. Well, we really don’t know, but all the same the term Knight flaunts a mysterious aura which has surely caught our attention.
