Is INQ Cloud Touch the long-rumored Facebook phone?

INQ Cloud Touch

Almost five months down the line, we had reported on Facebook planning to unravel a handset of its own. Back then, we had even penned down our thoughts pertaining to when this war of words would end.

For quite some time now there was barely a whisper about this phone, until today. PocketNow, has discovered that apparently INQ’s Cloud Touch cleared Bluetooth certification. The Bluetooth SIG site displays the qualified deign listing details of the INQ handset. The folks over at PocketNow quoted the phone’s description that the Bluetooth page had initially revealed.

It said, ‘An Android smartphone built to make messaging faster and smarter. It’s designed around the way people naturally communicate and has Facebook built into its core. The homescreen features multiple entry points to different Facebook functions, while a dynamic widget displays a feed of status updates, albums, videos and photos.’

However, when we hopped on to the Bluetooth SIG page the only design description that we found was a simple statement, ‘Android smartphone designed to make messaging smarter and faster.’

Well, there is not much evidence that can be used to prove if the Facebook phone actually exists or not. However, certain facets of this story cannot be ignored completely. For one, it was previously rumored that the social networking site intended to use Android for its handset, which is exactly what the Cloud Touch works on.

Secondly, for long it has been speculated that Facebook will join hands with the London-based handset manufacturer INQ to unravel its very own handset. Guess like always all we can do now is wait and watch until Facebook finally drops its façade or all the evidences are proven wrong.
