In Real Life, the only presence-based social networking company and GeoMe a mobile phone mobile service comes up with location-based social networking services on both mobile phones and the website. The service will enable users to explore the happenings around and find for new events, which can be shared with their friends and they can stay connected all the time by leaving a message on the map.
The alliance marks the first inclusion of IRL Connect web-based social networking on the mobile phone and provides GeoMe’s location-based solutions on mobile to web that endeavor full accessing privilege across the two communities of users. The location-based social networking is an interactive service that offers users an instant access as well as exchange information and finds friends online easily.
Frank Schuil, founder and CEO of IRL, says, “Many competitors focus on mobile and then try to extend their service to the Web by themselves, creating a half-baked Web solution. GeoMe is rolling out its public beta test in February 2009 signing up to be one of the beta testers. And IRL Connect members can access the GeoMe service both on mobile and Web by Q2 2009.
