Creating waves internationally in various nations, the iPhone 4S has now been apparently unveiled in more than 20 new countries. These include Bahrain, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, Peru, the Philippines and Qatar. Other nations where the Apple smartphone is scheduled to make an entry are Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

The latest iPhone version comes embedded with a 3.5-inch 960 x 640p widescreen multi-touch Retina display and runs on the new iOS 5 OS. It was launched in India last month and is already available in countries like Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, El Salvador, Greece, Guatemala, Malta, Montenegro, New Zealand, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Korea, USA, UK and Hong Kong.

The rate at which the Apple smartphone is debuting in various nations, it won’t be long before this mobile device will have made its mark in every country around the world. However, a setback that these newly listed countries will have to face while purchasing this handset is the heavy price tag that is attached to it. According to MacRumors, the prices in Brazil for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants of the smartphone are tagged at around $1410, $1628 and $1845, respectively.

While this handset’s cost in most nations is close to that in the U.S., its price in Russia also suffers a similar fate as Brazil as they reportedly range between $1131 and $1350. A successor to the iPhone 4, the mobile device boasts of many features like the Siri voice assistant, dual-core A5 chip processor, an 8MP camera and World Phone capabilities.

The iPhone 4S price in the U.S. reads at $649, $749 and $849 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions, respectively.
