Intex Cloud Y12 pegged at Rs 5390, features 3G and Android 4.2

The Intex Cloud Y12 3G smartphone has just joined the company’s mixed bag of extremely budget friendly and mid-range devices for the Indian market. One of the costliest phones from the brand which comes to mind is the Rs 21,900 Aqua i7 and that too isn’t very expensive for a flagship device.

Carrying quite a reasonable price of Rs 5390, the Cloud Y12 by Intex has mid-segment specs to go with its tag. For starters, it stays away from the phablet trend with just a 4-inch FWVGA display on it. The onslaught of modest specifications continues with a 1.2GHz dual core processor, most likely to be a MediaTek one.

Only 512MB MB of RAM keeps this Intex phone going. The company is offering the device with merely Android 4.2.2, which is not even the latest version of Jelly Bean. We won’t be surprised if users don’t get a KitKat update in the future. Just a gut feeling.

There’s a 2000mAh battery under the hood for letting you squeeze out up to 5 hours of talk time or 180 hours of standby. This bit of information is probably unnecessary since we haven’t been told whether the battery will last that long on 2G or 3G networks. The rest of the features are listed below.
