iBike Powerhouse cycling computer for iPhone revealed

iBike Powerhouse

The iBike Powerhouse cycling computer for iPhone is ready to debut at the forthcoming CES 2012. Created by Velocomp, the device works with the Apple smartphone when strapped to a cycle for measuring, supervising and motivating users’ workout routines.

To get started with this fitness companion, owners first have to choose any of the goal-based plans that are available through in-app purchases. These include iSlim, Express Fitness, Brazilian Butt, Kid Fit, Weekend Warrior, Zero to 50 miles in 3 weeks and Healthy Heart. The mini computer will then make a list of the different types of 45 to 90 minute bike rides and guide users in working out with them over a period of 4 to 6 weeks.

“The iBike Powethouse is the only product that creates cycling plans customized to your fitness level and goals, and that automatically adjusts as you improve. iBike Powerhouse is a must for anyone who owns a bike and who wants to achieve measurable improvement towards health and fitness goals.” explained, John Hamann, CEO, Velocomp.

The fitness plans that the iBike Powerhouse generates have been developed by internationally renowned power-cycling coach, Hunter Allen. Incorporated with videos featuring this cyclist guru, the device also serves as a water and shock proof case for the iPhone.

Compatible with all bicycle ANT+ HR sensors, the iBike Powerhouse cycling computer for iPhone will be launched on January 10 at the CES 2012 and is priced at $269. It will be accompanied by a mounting system, a storage case, electronics, the Powerhouse app, speed or cadence sensor and the iSlim Plan.
